This charming vintage oil lamp is a special variation inspired by the classic Pigeon lamp, but produced by Lampe Olympe and fitted with a Gaudard wick holder. It is a highly atmospheric little lamp with plenty of character.
The front of the lamp features extensive embossed text, including “Lampe Olympe” and “Garantie Véritable,” along with additional inscriptions and even the Olympic rings—a very decorative and uncommon detail. The lamp is likely from the 1950s or 1960s.
A lovely decorative piece that also functions as a long‑burning oil lamp. Inside the reservoir is a cotton‑like material that absorbs the oil and releases it gradually. It also includes the metal device used to lower the wick deep into the tank.
As expected for a vintage item, it has light signs of age, which only add to its authentic charm.
A wonderful addition to any collection, or simply a beautiful decorative object with a warm and vintage feel.
